The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office said it received several reports of the crash from witnesses. Authorities are asking people to stay clear areas near Silver Beach Towers and the Back Porch Restaurant in case any wreckage washes up. A command post has been set up near the Hampton Inn.
Authorities say no wreckage has been spotted so far.
