High-speed chase comes to crashing end in Sac County
A suspected DUI driver led officers on a high-speed chase through Sacramento County before crashing his vehicle early Wednesday morning.

“I had him in a headlock on the ground and my mom and dad were around me, making sure he couldn’t get up,” said Tony Allan Butts.
At around 3:20 a.m. the incident began when a man starting becoming violent with a tree trimming crew in Sacramento County. Officers were called to the scene, and when they arrived the man took off in a truck. Officers pursued and the chase reached speeds of up to 90 mph. The chase neded when the man crashed his truck into a fence near Walnut and Oak avenues in Orangevale. The man attemtped to flee on foot, but the owner of the fence tackled the man to the ground. Police then took him into custody.
