"Accidents happen, but when you hit a person and you run, that's so inhumane. How can you leave somebody laying there?" said Virgen's sister, Carmen.

"All he mumbled to me was, 'Just catch this guy, bro. Just catch the guy who's driving the bus, bro.' I said, 'You don't worry about that, we're going to catch him,'" the brother said.
Party Bus Hit-and-Run Driver Sought
The 26-year-old victim was dragged for more than 200 feet, officials said. He was hospitalized at St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood, where he was in intensive care.
Deputies Continue to Search for Hit-and-Run Driver
Officials don't know if it's the bus that hit Virgen, but it looks like the one witnesses said they saw zipping down the street around the time of the crash.
Efren Virgen Jr. was walking on Fairford Avenue and Ratliffe Street in Norwal, California at about 2:30 AM Sunday when he was struck by a bus. Witnesses said that they saw flashing neon lights inside the bus and heard loud music playing. The bus is being described as a party bus. Virgen, 26, was dragged more than 200 feet. He was transported to St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood, where he was on life support. The black bus was last seen turning westbound on Foster Road, according to officials. Police believe that driver would have known that something was wrong while dragging Virgen. Investigators are asking witnesses to come forward, including anybody who may have been on the bus during the accident. We will have more details on this story as they become available.
