"My mother was in a vehicle and they chose to drink and drive," Donahue said. "And she did not have to die. But they chose to get in a car intoxicated and now I do not have a mother. My nieces and nephews do not have a grandmother. My children will never know my mother."

Former UD coach charged in fatal crash
The Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office confirms to 2 NEWS that Paul Ivkovich is charged with two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide.
Sentencing handed down for ex-UD coach
Judge O’Connell had a sentencing range from 2 to 8 years. Crawford’s oldest daughter asked for four years.
“We were robbed of the most important person in our lives that night,” Donahue said. “We were given a lifetime sentence of feeling incomplete.”
Paul Ivkovich, 35, a University of Dayton Basketball Coach, could face charges of aggravated vehicular manslaughter after he crashed into the cement pillars of a train overpass on East Third Street. Sharon Shockey, 48, was a passenger in the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the hospital. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the accident.
