Two semis collide on I-41 early Wednesday morning

Sheriff's deputies say a semi driver was attempting to make a U-turn on a Dodge County interstate when the rig collided with another, killing that driver. The crash closed southbound Interstate 41 near Fond du Lac on Wednesday morning. The driver trying to make a U-turn was hauling water and was not seriously injured. The other driver, with a box trailer, was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the victim has not yet been released.

Appleton man dies in Dodge County semi crash

TOWN OF LOMIRA, Wis-- 66 year-old Charles Bate of Appleton has been identified as a victim after two semis crashed early Wednesday morning. The Dodge County Sheriff'€™s Office responded to the crash on I-41 and Highway 49 in the Town of Lomira just after 2:00am. 26 year-old Anthony Cappello from Chicago was driving a semi with a tank trailer. He tried to make a U-turn, and collided with a semi driven by Bate. Cappello was uninjured in the crash. Bate was pronounced dead at the scene.
