Milwaukee man charged in fatal hit-and-run

A Milwaukee man has been charged in another man's hit-and-run death on the city's south side. Court records show 73-year-old Andrew Emer was charged Thursday with one count of hit-and-run resulting in death. Milwaukee police say Montanez was hit while crossing the street after getting off a county bus. He's accused of striking 64-year-old David Montanez shortly after 5 p.m. Officers found the van a short distance away parked outside a residence where Emer was arrested.
