College football punters Michael Sadler, 24, and Samuel Foltz, 22, killed, and Colby Delahoussaye, 21, injured in single-vehicle crash into tree off of Beaver Lake Road in Merton, Wisconsin

All three had traveled to to area to work at a Kohl's Kicking Camp event. Kohl's Professional Camps offered its condolences to the Sadler and Foltz families Sunday.

Mike Sadler, 24, was a punter for MSU and when he was a student at Forest Hills Northern High School. He was the only four-time Academic All-American in MSU history, according to his bio on the website for Spartan Athletics.

Foltz punted for Nebraska for the past three seasons, and he won the Big Ten’s punter of the year award last fall.

Sadler, a Grand Rapids native who attended Forest Hills Northern, was a four-year starter for Michigan State, and graduated in 2014.

Foltz, 22, punted for Nebraska for each of the past three seasons. He won the Big Ten's punter of the year award last fall and was on the Ray Guy Award watch list for the best punter in the country this summer.

“He gave us all so much in so little time. Our thoughts & prayers are with him and his family,” reads the message from Spartan head coach Mark Dantonio on Twitter.

LSU kicker Colby Delahoussaye has been released from a Wisconsin hospital after being treated for burns on his legs and receiving stitches following a car crash overnight that took two players’ lives.

Nebraska punter Sam Foltz and former Michigan State punter Mike Sadler are dead after an an auto accident this weekend in Wisconsin, where the pair were attending a weekend kicking camp.

Foltz was the reigning Big Ten punter of the year and among the favorites to win this season’s Ray Guy Award; Sadler, who was driving, graduated from MSU in 2014 after becoming the Spartans’ first-ever four-time Academic All-American. He was scheduled to begin classes at Stanford Law School in the fall.

LSU senior kicker Colby Delahoussaye of New Iberia met on Monday with family members of his two friends that died in a car accident Saturday night near Waukesha, Wisconsin.

Foltz grew up on a farm near Greeley but played youth sports and went to school an hour’s drive away in Grand Island. In 2011, Foltz helped lead the Islanders to the state quarterfinals. He was an all-state safety and punter, and he also played wide receiver. As high school teammates, he and current Nebraska backup quarterback Ryker Fyfe formed one of the state’s most dangerous passing combinations.

Delahoussaye posted on his Twitter account Tuesday that he "will recover back to 100 percent in a very short amount of time" and that his focus was "prayers to the families" of the two kickers who lost their lives in the accident.

The Mike Sadler Legacy Football Scholarship Fund has been established by the Sadler family and Michigan State Athletics.

Nebraska coach Mike Riley said it's beautiful the way so many people have come out to support the Foltz family and the team, but losing Foltz is heartbreaking.

"Mike was no ordinary guy, and this is no ordinary funeral," she said. "In fact, it's extraordinary. It's an incredible celebration for an extraordinary life."

Indeed, the ceremony held on a sunny afternoon at Spartan Stadium was anything but ordinary.

Greeley County Sheriff David Weeks says the burglary happened sometime after the Foltz family left home around noon to attend Saturday's game in Lincoln and before they returned around 3 a.m. Sunday.
