A loud bang and a shaking building woke guests at the Country Inn and Suites off Highway 50 Friday night.

A motorist crashed into a hotel in Kenosha on Saturday morning. Authorities reported the crash occured at the Country Inn and Suites near 122nd Avenue and 71st Street. Investigators said the driver fell asleep at the wheel. Two people were inside the hotel room that was struck by the car. Kenosha Fire Department Battalion Chief Wesley Bernhardt said two people were inside the hotel room that was struck by the car. "The car hit square into the wall," Bernhardt said. "You can imagine a hotel room and the width of a car. There wasn't a lot of room for that car to miss the people inside."
