Man dies in 2-vehicle crash in Green County

A man was killed Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle crash near Monroe, Green County officials said. Green County emergency crews responded just before 6 a.m. to reports of a two-vehicle crash on Highway 81 just west of County Road N, according to a release. Investigators said a 67-year-old man was driving a van west on Highway 81 when he crossed the center line and collided with a two-axle straight truck going east.

Investigators said 67-year-old man Marvin W. Blackwood, of Woodford, was driving a van west on Highway 81 when he crossed the center line and collided with a two-axle straight truck going east. Blackwood died, according to the release.
