The State Patrol said it received a complaint at about 10:15 p.m. of an SUV driving erratically, and as responding units tried to catch up to the vehicle, it turned around in the eastbound lanes of I-94 and headed against traffic.

A trooper’s squad car was nearly hit head-on, but was able to avoid the vehicle and turn around to continue the pursuit. Before the trooper could catch up to the Honda Pilot SUV, it collided with two eastbound sedans head-on, the State Patrol said.
