A teenaged driver was killed in a head-on collision with a semi truck on Grandview Road at North Star Road in Ferndale. Dante DeLeon, 16, attempted to turn left onto Grandview from North Star Road just after 3 p.m. when he failed to yield to an oncoming semi. The semi hit the car head-on. DeLeon was pronounced deceased at the crash site. The male drivers of both the semi and the U-Haul struck following the initial crash are not seriously injured.
