Driver dies after hitting logging truck on Highway 18

The State Patrol has identified the 20-year-old woman killed after her car struck a vehicle on Highway 18 in Federal Way early this morning as Cearra J. Dillard.

A 20-year-old woman from Federal Way, Washington, was killed Thursday after crashing her car into the back of a semi-truck on state Route 18. The King County Medical Examiner’s Office has not yet released the identity the woman. Law enforcement officers are searching for the driver of the truck, which did not stop after the collision.  The woman was driving west on State Route 18 near Weyerhauser Way when her car collided with the back of the slow-moving truck about 4 a.m. She was transported to a local hospital with critical injuries, and was pronounced deceased soon afterward.
