Virginia State Police identified two women killed in a crash in Goochland on Sunday on Interstate 64 and charged one of the drivers with driving under the influence.

State Police charged a Goochland man with two counts of involuntary manslaughter in a crash which killed two sisters on Sunday.

A Goochland County man was found guilty of two counts of involuntary manslaughter this week after a 2015 crash which killed two women.
The crash occurred when the two women were traveling westbound at around 8:07 p.m. when a speeding vehicle hit theirs in a rear-end collision. The impact sent their vehicle off the road where it crashed into a tree. Sheila and Yolanda McCowan, both from Rockville, were wearing seat belts but died in the crash. A passenger in their car sustained no injuries. The driver of the speeding car, Andrew Chavis, was transported to VCU Medical Center with serious injuries. He was charged with driving under the influence.
