NC truck driver charged in crash that killed 18-year-old on bike in Virginia

Family members say Goodrow was riding her bike home from her job at a Subway restaurant.

Kristina Goodrow, 18, was riding north in the right-hand lane of Washington Highway about 11 p.m. Sunday when she was hit by a tractor trailer traveling the same direction. Goodrow was pronounced deceased at the crash site. The driver of the tractor trailer, 61-year-old John Edward Hardin, has been charged with reckless driving. Investigators say it does not seem that speed or alcohol was a factor in the fatal collision.
