One person died at the scene, and another was transported with serious injuries to VCU Medical Center via med-flight.

Victim in deadly Nottoway crash identified

There was a deadly crash on Route 460 in Nottoway County around 3 p.m. The car was traveling south on Route 609 crossing Route 460 when it struck a tractor trailer that was traveling east on Route 460. This occurred at the intersection of Yellowbird Road (Route 609). The car then spun, ejecting the front seat passenger before coming to rest on the left shoulder embankment. The driver of the car was taken to MCV Hospital with serious injuries.
