Jessica C. Romero, 23, killed, and John C. Alberts, 56, injured in RV crash into trees off of I-85 in Dinwiddie County, Virginia

The driver, John C. Alberts, of Riverview, Florida, suffered non-life threatening injuries and was also transported to Southside Regional Hospital. Officials said the passenger, Jessica C. Romero, of Oviedo, Florida, was transported Southside Regional Hospital where she later died of her injuries. 

DINWIDDIE COUNTY, Va. '€” State police are working a fatal single-vehicle wreck involving an RV that has closed all lanes of I-85 north in Dinwiddie County Saturday night. VDOT reported all lanes of the interstate were closed as of 9:20 p.m. and drivers were asked to use an alternate route. Steve Vick with Virginia State Police said the wreck happened just before 5:45 p.m. at mile marker 45.  Vick confirmed the accident was fatal.
