UPDATE: Police Identify Person Killed in Barracks Road Crash
Police say both vehicles were heading east when Middleditch tried to turn left into a farm entrance. At the same time, Branham was trying to pass in a legal passing zone. The cars collided and the Lumina overturned. Branham was declared dead at the scene. Middleditch, who was not injured, is being held without bond at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail.
