Another man dies as result of wrong-way driver; girlfriend's father speaks out

Troopers unsuccessfully made attempts to stop him, including attempting to ram his car at least once.
Cory S. Bertine, 25, died at the scene of a high speed collision traveling the wrong way down I-15 while fleeing police.  Bertine crashed into Carlos Valdez, 56, near Pioneer Road (400 N.) who died later at McKay-Dee hospital of his hinjuries. Bertine repeatedly cut his headlights and reached speeds of 100 miles per hour prior to the crash. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, and it is unknown why Bertine was fleeing police though reports say he had just begun prescription treatment for mental health issues.
