Two Texas Boy Scouts killed, another hospitalized after boating accident

All three, members of Boy Scout Troop 620 from Hallsville, were in a boat when it collided with a transmission power line, according to TPWD.

Investigators say the boys' sail boat that hit a power line on Lake o' the Pines Saturday afternoon.     

Boy Scouts electrocuted in deadly Texas boating accident

Agency spokesman Steve Lightfoot said the Boy Scouts, ages 18 and 16, died at the scene. Their names weren't immediately released.  

CBS affiliate KYTX-TV reports 11-year-old Thomas Larry was critically injured and was hospitalized in Shreveport, Louisiana.

3rd Boy Scout dies after sailboat strikes power line on lake

Texas Parks & Wildlife spokesman Steve Lightfoot says the 11-year-old Scout died Monday. He was hospitalized in Shreveport, Louisiana, following the accident Saturday.

Upshur County Rural Electric Cooperative was on scene Sunday taking a look at the power line the boys hit. When asked about the tragedy, the electric company employees had no comment.     

Funeral services set for 17-year-old electrocuted in boating accident

A flag will be raised at the start of the donation process and will continue to fly until the process is complete. At that time, the flag will be lowered and given to the Larry family.
