Instead, the 18-wheeler collided with an eastbound Ford Focus, driven by 62-year-old Larry Dean Salsbury.

According to deputies, the bus driver ran a stop sign, causing an 18-wheeler to swerve in order to avoid the collision; however, the semi truck crashed into a Ford Focus instead, killing the man inside of the car.
One person died in head-on crash in San Antonio Friday morning. An 18-wheeler and a Ford Focus collided on Culebra Road around 6 a.m. The driver of the commercial truck was headed west on Culebra when he said a school bus pulled out in front of him, forcing him to steer into the other lane to avoid a collision and struck the Ford Focus head on. The Ford Focus driver died at the scene. The 18-wheeler driver said the bus did not stop.
