Deer Park High raises money for Manvel High students killed in crash

In the days following the crash, Deer Park students and staff raised a total of $2,000 for Manvel. "It's devastating and we thought, well what could we do to help. That's what we're there for," said Deer Park High School senior Luis Guajardo.

Three Manvel High School students were killed in a fiery car accident Wednesday afternoon near County Road 89 at County Road 100 around 2 p.m. When emergency first responders arrived at the crash site, they found a burned car in a ditch. All three passengers inside the car were deceased. All were seniors at Manvel High School. Sara Silvas of Clute, Texas, Josh Rodriguez of Pearland, Texas, and Zori Petrova of Pearland, Texas, was beloved members of their communities. Investigators are working to find the cause of the crash. The driver, Josh, was wearing a seat belt but Sara and Zori were not.
