Rosalinda Bruno, 54, killed in car crash with driver Gerado Flores, 34, on Seawall Blvd in Galveston, Texas
Wrong-way driver causes fatal crash along Galveston Seawall
Flores was transported to John Sealy Emergency Room where he is being treated for non-life threatening injuries. Upon his release, Flores will be transported to the Galveston County Jail where he will be held on $75,000 bond.
Gerado Flores, 34, has been charged with manslaughter after causing a collision that killed a woman along the Galveston Seawall Thursday night when a Chevrolet Impala and a Dodge Journey went over the seawall after the crash. The driver of the Impala, Flores, was extracted from the vehicle. The other driver, Rosalinda Bruno, 54, from Galveston, was pronounced deceased at the crash site. Investigators believe Flores was driving westbound in the eastbound lanes. Bruno was legally parked when Flores drifted over in the parking lane and struck her head-on, causing both cars to be ejected off the seawall.
After an injury car accident, take these steps to help the recovery process
When someone has been injured in a car crash, it's hard to know what to do to help. Injured people need appropriate medial treatment, but they also need to have their civil and legal rights protected.
After a serious crash, several steps need to be taken, including dealing with the insurance companies, tracking and documenting lost income from missed work, coordinating medical bill payments, and handling an insurance claim.
