3 injured in head-on crash on Stony Point Road
Just before 1 p.m., a woman driving a blue Prius south on Stony Point Road with her 16-year-old daughter was struck head-on by a man driving a white Chevrolet pickup headed the opposite direction. Witnesses told police the pickup veered into the opposite lane and tried to swerve back into the northbound lane before the head-on collision.
The speed limit on that stretch of Stony Point Road is 45 mph. It’s unclear how fast either party was traveling.

The crash happened about 1 p.m. when Abell veered into oncoming traffic and hit Robles’ car. Witnesses said Abell was driving erratically before the crash.
