Child Killed in Head-On Crash Along President George Bush Turnpike

A 3-year-old girl was killed in a crash along the President George Bush Turnpike in Plano Thursday morning when the car she were riding in flew over a concrete barrier and into oncoming traffic, officials say. The sedan was then hit broadside by a Lexus SUV and a Hyundai sedan. Both the driver of the Infiniti sedan and the 3-year-old girl were transported to the Medical Center of Plano with serious injuries. The driver of the SUV was also hospitalized, but with injuries that were not considered life threatening. Meanwhile, the westbound lanes of the PGBT remains closed near Custer Road, but is expected to reopen before rush hour Thursday afternoon.

Girl dies after crash sends car over Bush Turnpike median

The driver of the Infinity, 28-year-old Anthony Brink of Richardson, and his 3-year-old female passenger, identified as Kendall Brink, were taken to the Medical Center of Plano, where the toddler was later pronounced dead. Anthony Brink is listed in serious condition.
