DUI Driver Causes Two Deaths in Two Vehicle Crash

Two people are dead after a two vehicle crash that occured in Forest Hill at the intersection of Hartman Road and Richard. The wreck involved an SUV driven by Jose Salinas-Gomez and and a Sedan carrying 4 passengers. Police arrested Jose Salinas-Gomez for suspicion of driving while intoxicated and booked him into the Forest Hill Police Department jail. Forest Hill police responded to the call at about 3:02 a.m. Police say two of the passengers were dead upon arrival when they arrived at the scene.

FOREST HILL — A motorist is under arrest after an accident that killed two people and injured two others in Forest Hill early Sunday morning. "The driver of the SUV was arrested, and we're pursuing an investigation for DWI at this point," said Forest Hill police Capt. The 76-year-old victim has been identified as George Moon of Forest Hill. Forest Hill is located southeast of Fort Worth at the intersection of Interstates 20 and 820. The 23-year-old driver and a 45-year-old passenger were taken to John Peter Smith Hospital for treatment.

Police arrested Jose Salinas-Gomez, 23, of Florida at the scene of the accident at Hartman Road and Richard Street in a residential neighborhood. Salinas-Gomez faces charges of intoxication assault in the wreck, which occurred shortly after 3 a.m. Sunday.
