Driver charged with DUI in deadly Horry County accident

According to SCHP the driver of the Acura, Osvaldo Delez-Colon, is charged with Felony DUI. He was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of a 1995 Acura was traveling west on SC-544 and attempted to travel left on US-17. The Harley was traveling east on 544, the Acura then attempted to make the left turn and struck the motorcycle. The driver of the Harley was not wearing a helmet.

The rider was heading east on Highway 544 when they were hit by 1995 Acura traveling westbound and attempting to make a left turn onto Highway 17. The motorcyclist died from injuries suffered in the crash. They were not wearing a helmet, according to authorities.
