Coroner: Second person dies after tractor-trailer crash in Upstate

The coroner said a second person has died after a Monday afternoon crash in the Upstate. A second passenger in the sedan was also injured in the crash. The sedan turned onto Highway 72 in the path of a tractor-trailer traveling south, Highway Patrol said. Christopher James Holmes, 22, died form his injuries on Wednesday afternoon, Coroner Nick Nichols said. Holmes was a passenger in the Nissan sedan that was traveling east on Lisbon Road at 2:40 p.m.
