A 26-year-old Saltsburg woman who was a front-seat passenger in Harkleroad's vehicle was taken to Indiana Regional Medical Center.

Route 286 was closed in both directions between Anthony and Ream roads while crews worked to clear and investigate the scene.

The man and his passenger were pronounced dead at the scene, and the Irwin woman died at Allegheny Health Network Forbes Hospital in Monroeville, where she had been flown by medical helicopter.  
Two women and a man were killed and a fourth injured when an SUV reportedly crossed the double yellow center lines while negotiating a curve on Route 286 between Ream and Anthony roads in Center Township, striking a second SUV in the westbound lane at around 12:30 p.m., according to state police. The driver of the first vehicle, a 45-year-old Irwin woman, died after being airlifted to Forbes Hospital. State police said the 56-year-old male driver of the other SUV and his 19-year-old back seat passenger were pronounced dead at the scene, while a 26-year-old female passenger in the front seat was taken to Indiana Regional Medical Center in unknown condition. All three occupants of the second SUV were repordetly Saltsburg residents. We'll update this story as more information becomes available.
