Pennsylvania Turnpike fatal accident victim ID'd as investigation continues

Maria Gervasio, of Levittown, was pronounced dead at 4:44 p.m. after the accident on the Northeast Extension near Orefield Road, at mile post 60.1, according to a news release from Lehigh County Coroner Scott Grim.

Lehigh County Coroner Scott Grim determined Maria Gervasio's cause of death after an autopsy today, according to the release. The manner of death was an accident.

Bristol Township woman killed in turnpike accident

An autopsy performed Saturday confirmed Gervasio died of blunt force trauma from injuries sustained in the accident, Grim said.

Maria Gervasio, of Levittown, was pronounced dead at 4:44 p.m. right after the accident on the Northeast Extension near Orefield Road. An investigation by the coroner's office along with Pennsylvania State Police into Gervasio's death is ongoing.
