Renee G. Ondrejech, 18, killed when her disabled car was struck by a semi on I-71 in Medina Township, Ohio

Ondrejech was driving a 1999 Volkswagen Passat on I-71 northbound when it broke down in the right lane, the State Highway Patrol said. A 2014 Kenworth semitrailer hit her from behind at 5:10 a.m. Both the car and the semitrailer went off the right side of the highway and hit several trees, the Highway Patrol said. 

A teen is dead after a tractor trailer crashed into her vehicle on Interstate 71 Wednesday morning, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

An 18-year-old woman from Middleburg Heights was killed in a car accident early Wednesday morning on I-71 in Medina Township. According to state troopers, Renee Ondrejech was driving a 1999 Volkswagen Passat northbound on I-71 when she began to have mechanical problems and became disabled in the right lane.
