One dies in semi crash on Interstate 271 in Highland Heights

One person died Tuesday after two semi trucks collided on the Interstate 271 southbound express lanes, police said. The southbound express lanes and local lanes remain closed while police investigate. The second truck was carrying beauty salon supplies, including hydrogen peroxide and hair dye. The southbound express lanes of Interstate 271 between Wilson Mills Road and Interstate 90 remain closed Wednesday as crews repair damage to the road. Detectives said the mixture of chemicals contributed to the size of the fire, which fully engulfed both trucks. One of the trucks was carrying furniture, police said.
