Man charged with DWI in Burlington head-on crash

Front Street was closed for about 2 hours as crews repaired a damaged utility pole.
43-year-old David Lee Hancock was heading west on West Front Street in a pickup truck shortly after 3:00 a.m. when he veered into eastbound traffic and collided head-on with a car. Hancock was injured and taken to the hospital by ambulance, and one other person had to be taken via helicopter. Hancock has also been charged with driving while intoxicated.
