Ohio man killed in motorcycle accident in upstate NY

Police say a Cincinnati man is dead after a tractor-trailer towing a manure spreader hit his motorcycle in upstate New York. The sheriff's office says the tractor-trailer's driver made a left turn and failed to see the two motorcycles traveling in his path. The Lewis County Sheriff's Department tells the Post-Standard of Syracuse that 25-year-old Darius Wilkinson was thrown from the motorcycle in the town of Lowville on Friday. Deputies say the motorcyclists tried unsuccessfully to avoid the tractor-trailer. Wilkinson was pronounced dead at the scene.
