POLICE: DRIVER WHO RAMMED CAR THROUGH LONG ISLAND CHURCH WALL ARRESTED
Eyewitness News is told he was unlicensed when he smashed a luxury car into the church.
21-year-old Sherif Wheeler was driving a luxury car south on Grand Avenue at around 4:25 a.m. when he left the roadway, striking a tree, some fencing, and finally the Second Baptist Church. A 20-year-old man that was riding in Wheeler's car sustained some injuries in the crash and was brought to the hospital, and Wheeler initially fled the scene of the accident but was later found and arrested. Some sources say he was unlicensed.
