Driver killed after car crashes, bursts into flames
A driver was killed after his car crashed into a light pole, burst into flames and careened into a building on Long Island Sunday, cops said.

Gregory Balmir, 42, was headed south on Grand Avenue at about 4:00 a.m. when he veered across two lanes and collided with a pole. His car then continued to cross Kings Parkway where it crashed into a Johnstone Supply warehouse and caught fire, which began to spread to the building. Though the damage to the building was more minor, Balmir was killed in the incident and pronounced dead at the scene.
