Montauk Crash Leaves Motorcyclist Seriously Injured

About 200 yards of Old Montauk Highway was closed from the intersection of Montauk Highway.

East Hampton Police Sergeant Hurt in Montauk Crash

Ms. Kaufman said she was in a car ahead of the Webers. They were to meet at Sammy's restaurant, she said, for a wedding rehearsal dinner. She did not witness the accident. 
East Hampton Town police sergeant Daniel Roman was driving a motorcycle to the west on Old Montauk Highway just after 6:00 p.m. when he crashed head-on into a car driven by Stephen Lawton Weber Jr., who was attempting to turn left onto an access road to Second House Road. Weber's wife, Megan Weber, was his front-seat passenger at the time of the crash and reportedly performed CPR on Roman, who was in critical condition. He has since undergone successful surgery and is expected to recover.
