Connecticut man pleads guilty in fatal accident on NY road

Miles turned himself in to police five days after the accident. He will be sentenced Dec. 3 to two to six years in prison.

It wasn’t until Tuesday that Miles turned himself in to the Sheriff’s Office.  Detectives reported it was confirmed he was connected to the hit and run.

The vehicle believed to have been involved in the crash was located in the Town of Kent on Saturday.
36-year-old Concetta Eastman was attempting to get into her vehicle, which was parked on the side of Bog Hollow Road, when a vehicle driven by Randy G. Miles, 57, hit her and did not stop to render aid. Police arrived shortly after 8:00 p.m. to find Eastman severely injured, and she was pronounced dead after being transported to the hospital. Miles was later found and arrested.
