No charges for driver who struck mother and daughter with car

A mother and daughter who were hit by a car Saturday night on Oak Tree Road are recovering from serious injuries.

Mother and daughter Kishwer Danobano, 54, and Saira Mahnood, 24, were crossing Oak Tree Road near Sugar Road when they were struck by a silver Cadillac SRX driven by Sundar Kumar, 56, of Iselin. The women were taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick for treatment. Kumar stayed at the scene after the accident and hasn't been charged.
