A person was fatally struck by an NJ Transit train Thursday afternoon in Monmouth County, officials said. The person, identified only as an adult man, was hit near the Hazlet Station near Holmdel Road at 3:52 p.m. by a North Jersey Coast Line train, an NJ Transit spokesperson said.
