Fire officials confirm that a small plane has crashed in Laconia, New Hampshire.

Family friends said the pilot is 82 years old and has been flying since he was 13.

When crews arrived, they found the pilot trapped in the wreckage.

Firefighters extricated the pilot from the plane, and MedFlight took the pilot to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H., according to the Laconia Fire Department.
