Two severely injured after head-on crash in Derry

Rockingham Road was closed for several hours as Derry police investigated the crash. Derry Fire Department said two cars collided on Rockingham Road Saturday just after 4:30 p.m. in front of Pete's Scoop Ice Cream Stand. The second driver was pulled from an SUV and suffered significant injuries. Firefighters used the jaws of life to pull one driver out of a car. He was air-lifted to Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston with life-threatening injuries.
