Pedestrian killed in collision on Stead Boulevard identified

An official report has identified the pedestrian who died last night on Stead Boulevard as 26-year-old Stephen Busby.

Pedestrian dies after collision on Stead Boulevard

Stead was closed between Silver Lake Road and Ural Street as police investigated the scene. An officer at the scene said the road would be closed for about two hours. Police responded at about 7:25 p.m. to reports of a vehicle hitting a pedestrian. A preliminary investigation indicated that the vehicle was driving south on Stead when it hit the victim. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene after succumbing to his injuries, police said.
