Man dies from injuries sustained in Carson City crash

According to Nevada Highway Patrol, a 2013 black Honda Accord driven by 40-year-old Matthew Vanclieve Arnold of Carson City was northbound on South Carson Street when the vehicle left the roadway at the northeast corner of South Carson and Koontz Lane, striking a traffic signal light post head-on shortly after midnight Saturday morning. Arnold was not wearing his seat belt. He was airlifted to Renown Medical Center, where he died shortly thereafter. The accident is under investigation.
