The Flathead County sheriff's office identified says the victim was Tabitha Mary Migwi. She was a student at Stillwater Christian School in Kalispell.
School remembers victim of fatal Highway 40 crash
“Tabitha attended Stillwater Christian School from kindergarten to 11th grade. She was classy, bright, cheerful, upbeat and truly a fountain of joy. She was known as a selfless student who loved others and lifted them up with her kind nature. Her last words to me were, ‘what else can I do to help,’” said Dana Hashley, principle of Stillwater Christian School.
A 16-year-old Whitefish girl died when the car she was driving pulled into the path of a logging truck at about 4:30 p.m. Monday at an intersection on Highway 40 southeast of Whitefish, Montana. The driver of the truck, a 64-year-old man, was not injured in the crash. We'll update this story as more information becomes available.
