Traffic resumes on HW 93 after fatal crash

A fiery crash 20 miles north of Missoula on Highway 93 backed up traffic for several miles in both directions Sunday night.

Motorcycle Crash Victim Identified as Missoula Man

“A toxicology test for alcohol can take quite some time, so the Highway Patrol is handling that part of the incident. All we can release is the name of the victim and the cause of death, which was blunt force trauma due to the head-on collision.”  
A southbound motorcycle crossed the center line on Highway 93 colliding head on with a pickup truck. The collision caused the truck to hit a guard rail before bursting into flames. The driver of the pickup was uninjured in the crash. The motorcyclist, Raymond Gene Cook, 30, of Missoula, was prounced dead at the scene.
