1 man killed, 1 injured in 2-vehicle crash south of Laurel

Authorities say one man was killed and another was injured in a two-vehicle crash south of Laurel. Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Craig Baum states that an SUV headed north on U.S. Highway 212 crossed the center line and hit a minivan headed south Monday morning. The 32-year-old man driving the SUV was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The 71-year-old man driving the van was killed.      No tickets have been issued, and investigators have not released the names of anyone involved.

Coroner identifies man killed in Laurel wreck

Kent Homer Morgan, 71, of Billings, has been identified as the driver killed in a two-vehicle crash south of Laurel on Monday, said Lt. Bill Jones, Yellowstone County coroner. Montana Highway Patrol continues to investigate the fatal head-on collision and an earlier road rage incident involving one of the vehicles in the wreck.

Coroner identifies man killed in Laurel wreck; 3 others in critcal condition

Two women and a 2-month-old boy are in critical condition after the wreck, and two men and a 3-year-old were treated at a hospital and released.

Billings driver who died in Laurel crash identified

Officials have identified the Billings man who died in a two-vehicle crash south of Laurel that left three others in critical condition. Craig Baum says the Toyota driver appears to have gotten into a road rage incident with another vehicle before colliding with the Caravan. The Toyota driver, a 32-year-old Bridger man, sustained serious injuries. Two women and an infant remain in critical condition.      The crash remains under investigation.

Man charged for fatal head-on crash near Laurel

Samuel Andrew Rettig, 33, pleaded not guilty in Yellowstone County District Court to negligent homicide and two counts of felony criminal endangerment during an arraignment before Judge Mary Jane Knisely.

No homicide charge for second suspect in road rage incident that left 1 dead

Timothy Scott Cockrell, 32, was charged in Yellowstone County Justice Court with two felony counts of criminal endangerment for the role he may have played in the death of Kent Homer.
