Victim of fatal I-70 accident identified; interstate closed for 13 hours

The Missouri Highway Patrol said a semi was going eastbound when it crossed into the westbound lanes and cut a car in half. Police said a person inside the car was killed.

Semi accident shuts down westbound I-70 near Warrenton

A truck accident has shut down traffic on westbound I-70 near Warrenton. The accident is at mile marker 193.
The Missouri Highway Patrol said a semi was going eastbound when it crossed into the westbound lanes and cut a car in half, killing Lynn Hebenheimer. Authorities said the collision caused a chain reaction involving three other semis and eight other vehicles. Authorities said eight people suffered serious injuries.  All eight are expected to survive, police said.
