A motorcyclist died and his passenger was injured Saturday in a accident in which the driver that struck them fled the crash site. The motorcycle was traveling southbound on North Second Street around 1:30 a.m.
One person is dead after an accident on eastbound I-70 near Mid Rivers Mall Drive Saturday night. Police say 76-year-old Jack G. Chappell of Bridgeton, Missouri, was killed when a tire that had fallen off of a towed vehicle hit his car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
