Crash kills three near Rolla on I-44

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a tractor-trailer crossed the median of Interstate-44 near the Martin Springs Outer Road Bridge and hit a minivan head-on. The crash happened around 6:00 p.m. It's unclear at this time whether the people killed were all in the minivan, or if one of the deceased was the semi driver.

The accident happened around 6 p.m. Troopers and emergency crews are still on the scene.

Three died Sunday night in a head-on collision that occurred west of Rolla around mile marker 173 on Interstate 44. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a tractor trailer crossed the median of Interstate-44 and hit a minivan head-on. The highway patrol says Mark Ranney, 58, Bonnie Ranney, 57 and Mary Ensign, 85 were killed in the crash. The 29-year-old truck driver who is from California wasn't hurt.  No word on if he will face any charges.
