James Breidenstein, 54, dies in single-vehicle crash on Missouri 174 near Mount Vernon, Missouri

A man from Mount Vernon died in a single-vehicle crash near his hometown early Friday morning. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the wreck occurred at 3:00 a.m. on Missouri 174, 7-miles east of Mount Vernon. The Patrol states that James Breidenstein, 54, ran his 1999 Ford F150 off the road, stuck an embankment, and overturned. Breidenstein died at the scene. Breidenstein was ejected from the vehicle.
